Two most important articles I’ve read this year

Pursuant to last week’s pledge to update weekly even if it was just quick links, I offer the following two articles. BWC is a site (with their own blog) which I read regularly; the link from The Times comes from my friend Brian Boley. Interesting insights on the global food crisis and the Church’s response:

Global Food Security by Mark Petterson on the Burnside Writers Collective

As an atheist, I truly believe Africa needs God by Matthew Parris on TimesOnline from the UK

Jesus Freak, family man, flyfisherman. Sees the world through a slightly skewed lens...sort of like a trout looking up through the surface film. Right-brain dominant so don't try to pen me in with too much rigid structure. Freelance graphic designer & writer by day, church lay speaker & teacher and seminary student by...well, also by day, 'cause I go to bed too early to do much of anything by night except go to the occasional meeting, tie flies, and watch reruns of Northern Exposure and Mad Men. Plays guitar, reads books, thinks thoughts.
